Ricky, I can honestly say that distance does not make the heart grow fonder. With each passing day you are missed more and more. So much has happened since you left. National Louis University awarded you an honorary doctorate degree so you are now known as Dr. Ricky Byrdsong. The book that you had been working on before you died, titled Coaching Your Kids in the Game of Life, was released for publication. Another book titled No Random Act - Behind the Murder of Ricky Byrdsong was released last week. The Ricky Byrdsong Foundation was started in your honor to arrest the growing epidemic of hate and violence in our society. The Ricky Byrdsong Memorial 5K Race against Hate is held each year in June. As you can see Ricky, you have not been forgotten.

I want to express my deepest condolences in remembrence of such a fine person. Although it has been almost 3 years, I know that the pain and emptiness is still very strong within your hearts. From what I have read, Ricky made a tremendous impact on many peoples lives. He will never be forgotten.
