From an ex-submariner…I will never forget my days at sea playing
cat and mouse with such a formidable Navy. I cherish the few Russian friendships
I gained during the “Cold-War” and only wish I had met more ‘Comrades.’
I know every one of you would have given your lives for your country if
asked...sorry it happened this way. My prayers are with your families…

I just want to say God Bless to those families who lost their love
ones. America and Russia are a part of each other. Without the need from
one another, the world would be incomplete. My sympathy goes out to the
lives that were lost. Those men were true soldiers and true warriors and
will always have a place in my heart. America and Russia will hold hands
and prey together for the souls that were lost.

America and Russia have had a long history of conflict. The Kursk
was built to carry out that conflict. But let it not also be forgotten
that Americans and Russians are brothers. Once more we must extend our
hearts to families of the lost, the loved, the betrayed--but never the
forgotten. Even now, America grieves with you. We stand with our brothers.

Dear Families, My real condolences to all of you. Even though I

This is very hard for all of you and I know. Because loosing someone loved
is hard, and also by the way they lost their lives too. I feel sad too

My heart goes out to the families and friends who have lost their
loved ones. I've read this poem once and hope you would find comfort reading
it, and know that all your loved ones are now at God's promised land. God
Bless All Of You! Letter From Heaven written by Richard Mahaffey: To my
dearest family, some things I'd like to say. But first of all, to let you
know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with
God above. Here, there's no more tears of sadness; Here is just eternal
love. Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember
that I am with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave
you when my life on earth was through. God picked me up and hugged me and
He said, "I welcome you. It's good to have you back again, you were missed
while you were gone. As for your dearest family, They'll be here later
on. There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man." God gave
me a list of things, that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list,
was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night the day's
chores put to flight. God and I are closest to you....in the middle of
the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years.
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not
be afraid to cry: it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no
flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that I could tell you all that
God has planned. If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand. But one
thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over. I'm closer to you
now, than I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and
many hills to climb; but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too; That as you give
unto the world, the world will give to you. If you can help somebody who's
in sorrow and pain; Then you can say to God at night...."My day was not
in vain." And now I am contented....that my life was worthwhile. Knowing
as I passed along the way I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody
who is sad and feeling low; Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your
way you go. When you're walking down the street and you've got Me on your
mind; I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when it's
time for you to go.... from that body to be free. Remember you're not going....
you're coming here to Me.

On behalf of the pastor and congregation of New Wine Church, we
send our deepest sympathies and condollences in this time of sorrow. It
is a hard thing to lose a loved one. But know that those who knew Jesus,
are now at peace, sitting beside him, helping to design your place in Heaven
when your turn comes. Grieve not for the ones who have already gone on
ahead. For they are at peace. Rather, if you must weep, do so for the ones
left behind to carry on the work God set for them to do in the beginning.
While it is difficult now, know that the pain will pass, and you will eventually
gain the strength to continue down the path life has for you to follow.
May God bless each and every one of you, each day.

I would like very much to be able to tell each of you in person
how sad this is. You have pain and questions at the same time. Take comfort
that they gave their all defending the great country of Russia. There will
be no way any awards or any other form of thanks. Your pain is great but
you do have the thoughts and prayers from the whole world. Perhaps this
might be the tragic event that will allow all countries to be able to trust
each other. I am an ordinary US citizen but still this tragic accident
that caused so great a loss of human lives moved me to choking up at the
loss of so many who had their whole life ahead of them. I know the regular
people of this country look forward to greatly improving relations with
the great country of Russia. It seems that governmental leaders always
have different agendas, but you must know that the far majority of citizens
want friendly normal relations with your great country and together we
can go forward to achieving a true world peace. The souls of your loved
ones lost on the submarine will rest easier when this happens. May you
find peace, comfort, and strength to overcome this. Just one American citizen

Sometimes you do not know how big a tree really is until it has
fallen. Then you can observe the roots, the trunk and all the branches.
When Submarine Kursk put to sea, she was a singularly great vessel. In
her demise, Kursk tells the world many stories about her 118 crew; 118
families; a Navy and a Nation; and a great and ancient Russia, whose tragedies
never fail to give pause for reflection. God blesses all sailors, and those
who love them.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever
would believe in him would not perish but would have eternal life. For
God sent his son into the world, not to condem the world, but that through

May God's richest blessings be with you all during this time of
mourning and everyday. Our prayers are forever with you all. We know the
importance of the courage and love that your sons, husbands, and brothers
have for you. Just remember that God and Jesus is always there for us,
and we have to depend on our Father Almighty. Yes it is hard especially
during these times, to see that. Though it is a strong faith in our Saviour
which brings us through. Remember that God to lost a Son (Jesus Christ)
so that we can live. I can add that I too have been out there at sea, and
to lose a brother at sea is hard, and that is what I feel in this loss
for they too were my brothers. In Christ Always, Joe & Donna Golden

Words can not express the feeling I had while I watched the media
coverage of the tragedy. Of course I said a prayer, but in my mind I felt
they would all be ok. Later when I found out they had all parished, it
made me sick and then mad. I know anger doesnt help, but sometimes it is
the only thing you can feel when something as senseless as this happens.
All I can say is please put your faith in God, He can help you. I am so
sorry for your losses, as many others are too.

The Rose Beyond the Wall @>-'-,-- A rose once grew where all could
see, And, as the days passed swiftly by; it spread its branches, stright
and tall... One day, a beam of light shone through a crevice that had opened
wide--- The rose bent gently toward its warmth then passed beyond to the
other side... Now, you who deeply feel its loss, be comforted---the rose
blooms there--- Its beauty even greater now, nurtured by God's own loving
care. I wanted to express heartfelt sympathy in the loss that you must
bear, and may you find some comfort in the thought that others care. From:
a child in our Lord Almighty...

Paris, France I would like to convey my hearfelt sympathy to the
relatives and friends of the 118 brave and honourable Russian submariners
who died while in service for their country. It's regrettable that the Russian
officials did not react swiftly enough as some lives might have been saved.
Every day for a whole week I watched the T.V news bulletin first thing
in the morning and last thing at night praying and hoping that there would
be some survivors. Although these men were unknown to me I was deeply saddened
when I heard they had all perished. These brave men are no longer with
us but they will live on in the hearts and in the memories of their loved
ones. You will never be forgotten. My sincere condolences, Margaret.

Please accept my condolences in the terrible tragedy of you sons
fate. Cling to the truth and do not be deceived by falsehoods. Your sons
believed their duty and mission. I commend them for that bravery. While
traveling from Volgograd to Moscow on a train, I met a 15 years old submariner
engineer who was returning to Murmansk. We exchanged stories and shared
our thoughts. He was a very nice young man. We learned that we are no different
in our hearts. Any walls of prejudice and animosity were dispelled in the
short time we shared. I don't know his name nor the name of his submarine.
I think about him, although,I don't know if he was one of the 118. Believe
me and I share your grief and tears. I am not your enemy as an American.
I like you, respect you, and pray for improvement of Russia's economy.
You has suffered too much already and deserve a better life. Please feel
free to contact me. I speak and read a little Russian, so you may write
in Cyrillic Russian. Most sincerely your friend, Jerry Dorsey

My prayers and heart go out to you as I was on a submarine for a
few years. For those who believe in the reserection of the dead, this event
is only a temporary thing. The death that the men expeienced in the Bible
is called a sleep, ond day to be awakened. GOD BLESS YOU at this time.
May the GOD of all confortate who has conforted us, and does comfort us
and will comforte us give you peace. Sincerely a fellow submariner. Richard

May God's hand touch the 118 men who gave their lives in duty. A
duty that would be not be necessary if we sat as a common people and not
people of diversity. I pray one day the world will be such a place. A place
of common people with love and trust for each other.
