My deepest condolences to all the families envolved. Words do not
express nor convey the tragic loss of your little loved ones. I am a locomotive
engineer. As an engineer my worst nightmare would be see a school bus cross
my tracks, without time enough to stop. I deal with people daily at crossings
running around gates or not stopping at the crossing when I approach. Most
people do understand the time it takes to stop a train. Metal wheels on
metal rails plus the weight of the train times the speed of the train.
Can only end with a tragedy. I have a 7yr old daughter and a two year old
son. Either one are irreplaceable the only thing that can stop this from
happening is better training for all persons who are responsilible for
the transportation of our loved ones. My deepest empathy to the parents
who lost their children and the train crew who did the best they could.
God Bless and keep us all. Dennis Bullard

I am so very sorry for the loss of your children. Although our school
has gotten very large, every child is one of our family--a child we've
either known or would have known. Daniel, Amber, and Kayla were all part
of our Northwest family as are all their families and extended families.
May God give you the strength to carry you through each day ahead. We love
you all!

To the families of Kayla, Daniel, and Amber, my deepest and most
heart-felt condolences. Everytime I think, or talk to someone about this
tradegy, tears come to my eyes. I am deeply saddened for the families of
the three new Angels in heaven, but am also saddened for the classmates
and their families. As an uncle of Nicky Lyles (a classmate and close friend
of Amber and Kevin), I know the pain that they must be going through must
be great also. My prayers and thoughts are with you everyday. May God watch
over and protect everyone of you. If i may give advice to each of you,
lean on God and and people who are close to you in this time of sadness.

When I saw the news and the scene of the accident I remarked that
it was familiar to me. I have crossed that track many times when I was
a young child living in GA on the way to my Granny Patterson's, who lived
just above Liberty Baptist Church. It was confirmed to me today that I
had the scene correct. While at my Mother's I read the paper and saw the
pictures and wept. My heart aches for the families and the bus driver.
I drove a school bus for 10 years in MO and always knew that I was carrying
precious cargo. God be with all the families and may they know that He
will sustain them through this difficult time. Prayers and heartfelt sympathy
to all of you. When I visit the graves of my Daddy, R. L. Hill, my Brother,
Rick Hill, and My Granny Patterson and Wade I will also visit the graves
of the small children and place flowers. Please grow in your faith and
know that God will take care of you! Geri Meuschke

I'm sure most of you have heard the song "GOD ON THE MOUNTAIN" that
The MCKAMEY's sing. The words are so true and comforting. Also the song
wrote by one of your local citizens, Naomi Lawson, not long before she
died in a car crash in your community. The song is titled "HOW CAN I LOSE
THE BATTLE WITH GOD ON MY SIDE". Tragedies like these are difficult to
understand and it's human to ask God "Why"? But "WE"LL UNDERSTAND IT BETTER
BY AND BY". My thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost loved
ones and to all involved. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. "HOW BEAUTIFUL HEAVEN MUST
BE" with three more little angels to welcome God's children as they enter
"THE PEARLY WHITE CITY".

I give my heartfelt sympathy to all the families involved in this
tragedy. I cannot even begin to imagine what you must be going through,
but I do know God is with you. He's even closer to us when our heart is
heavy and we are weak. He promises us that he will not leave us comfortless.
If you are saved then one day you will be reunited with those precious
children. They are in a much better place, and given the opportunity to
come back to this earth, imagine for a moment what their response might
be. I think they would choose to stay in a place where there is no pain,
sorrow, or fear. They are in God's arms this very moment. My prayers are
with you all.

i was always told when i was growing up that when a young child
passed away in accident or just by death of any kind, that JESUS needed
another angel. now heaven has 3 more. i can not express enough sympathy
for what you have lost and i know that probably everyone has written the
same message but just be ready when your time comes to go to be with them
at the same place. heaven is a wonderful place and they all 3 are having
a wonderful time with Jesus.

I like many people wonder why death has to happen. But one thing
I know, Jesus makes no mistakes11111111 For some reason, he chose these
babies to be special angels in heaven. You couldn't wish them to have a
better father. They will never know any pain again. They will never have
a sick day again. But there is still no replacement for them. There will
always be a empty place at the table. But just hold fast to the promises
that God gives us. If you are saved, you will see them again.

I lost a loved one a little while back and I know the pain associated
with death. I don't know the pain that you are feeling for you loved one
that passed away because all pain is different because everyone is different
and deals with all emotions different. I know that God is the only one
who can send you true comfort and he promises in his word that he will
send us a comforter if we believe that will be with us so that we don't
have to face it alone. TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART!!! In the
Bible it says, "absent from the body, present with the Lord." That is what
happened instantly. I will never forget the unecessary way that these babies
died but God will take care of that in his own time.

I can barely express my grief over this tragedy. I have a daughter,
and I can't even think of what I would do, if I lost her. Children are
truly one of God's greatest miracles. I have friends and relatives, all
over the country, and I don't know one, who hasn't expressed their own
feelings of grief over this tragedy. I have seen this polarize people all
over, it seems people come together, bound by the knowledge that there
but for the Grace of God, go each one of us. These children will never
really be gone, as long as we remember. They are being prayed for by people
all over the world, at this very moment. This is indeed, a shared grief.
God Bless, and comfort everyone touched by this tragedy.

1 Thessalonians 4:14,15,16,17,18 (14)For if we believe that Jesus
died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring
with Him. (15)For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we
which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent
them which are asleep. (16)For the Lord himself shall descend from Heaven
with a shout, with the voice of the arch-angel, and with the trump fo GOD:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (17)Then we which are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the
LORD in the air: and so shall we ever be with the LORD. (18)Wherefore comfort
one another with these words. I have a 6 year old, who rides a Murray County
bus, I know anything can happen, All of our lives are in God's hand. Our
children are GOD'S gifts, and God has his plans for them. So were not to
question or place blame on anyone. We all need to pray for the children
and there families. And the bue diver, thay all need our prayer and love
now. God will ease the pain. And someday we'll all be together again in

It's over, It's over, The pain and suffering is over, The hurt may
go slow, But that we all know Their lives are gone. Theres no regrets,
We all agree they were the best, Their up in heaven, A better place, I
can just imagine Their smiling faces, Ring a bell, And lets not cry, They
now grew wings, And now can fly. But in our heart they shall never die,
They were great kids we know that is true, They were always angels in our
eyes and that We always knew. It was their time, Their time to go home,
They flew to the sky like the great white dove, yet we will always remember
all the love They gave the world. Yes it's true we lost some friends, but
when you think about it, in the end, the world gained some angels, from
those wonderful kids. This is a great poem written by a 12 year old and
I thought it was so true. Just remember they are now 3 more angels watching
over all of us. And that we will meet soon again. My thoughts and prayers
are with all the families, not just those that lost their child but also
those still in the hospital.

No words can express how I feel deep inside for the loss of innocence,
the loss of precious children. IT should never happen but sadly it happens
all the time and it never gets easier, I do not know what I would do should
I lose one of my boys, I only offer my thoughts to those affected to those
left without children tonight. Those who should never feel this pain that
they must surely feel at this very moment. Just know that you do not grieve
alone. They will be in your memories and hearts for eternity.

affected by this terrible tragedy. To the families that have lost there
precious loved ones just remember that they are with God now. They have
no pain, they are always going to be happy now, because they are in the
hands of there creator. I know you are asking yourself why God had to take
your precious one, but God had this planned for them before they were even
born. God has plans for all of us and there is some great reason he has
done this. We don't see it now, but maybe one day we will be able to understand
more about his plans. My prayers are with all of you and will remain for

May our Lord continue to bless you all,in this time of your needing
his present today. He is walking the walk with you!! Our Lord said,he would
never leave us. Please keep the faith! This Too Will Pass Away ~If I can
endure for this minute Whatever is happening to me, No matter how heavy
my heart is Or how 'dark' the moment may be-- If I can remain calm and
quiet With all my world crashing about me, Secure in the knowledge God
loves me When everyone else seems to doubt me-- If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true, That 'darkness will fade with the morning'
And that this will pass away, too-- Then nothing in life can defeat me
For as long as this knowledge remains I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break 'all the chains' That are binding me tight in
'the Darkness' And trying to fill me with fear-- For there is no night
without dawning And I know that 'my morning' is near.~ by Helen Steiner

Our hearts are broken for all of the victims and familes due to
this tragedy. We feel the pain for all and will pray for their peace and
exceptance of their loss. Everyone should always stop and be sure at crossings
whether there are guards and signals or not for that is the safest and
responsible thing to do for any of us.

God by His Spirit will comfort you as only He can do. I cannot begin to

I can not begin to tell you the number of tears I have shed for
these 3 children. It is amazing to me how God gives us such a heart for
ones we do not know. That is the amazing love that our Lord instills in
His children. There is not one person that could not be affected by your
loss. I know you must feel your grief is more than you can bear but the
Lord is there to help you carry the load. He will wipe away the tears and
begin to feel your lives with joy once again. Lean on the Lord for your
strength and peace and lean on those that He places in your path during
this time. 2 Corthinthians 1:3-5 tells us God is the Father of compassion
and all comfort. He comforts us so that we can go and comfort others. Take
comfort in those He now surronds you with. We are all praying for each

I would just like to say how very saddened I am for the lost of
three very beautiful children. And to say to their parents and families,
you will never know exactly how much you and your children mean to everyone
in this community. The world is a little sadder with the loss of Daniel,
Kayla and Amber. I never had the privalege to know either of your children
personally though I wish that I had. But I can tell you from the minute
I heard what had happened, I felt as if a part of me had died that same
day. My son who is 18 called me from school and said Mom turn on the TV,
something really bad has happened. He called me twice that day to see what
had happened. I just wanted to say Son come home. Just know that you are
in our hearts and prayers, and we will never forget your loved ones and
what has happened to them. God will wrap you in his LOVE and carry you
through this most difficult time. But if there is ever anything I can do
to help, don't hesitate to ask. For we all are brother and sister in our

I have been reading all the Condolences & I want to let you
know that here in Washington State we are also grieving & praying for
you. I (like many) have never lost a child & cannot really tell you
that I know how you feel, but I can tell you that God does. God knows what
He is doing when things like this happen & it brings to my mind something
I read several years ago...Rosebuds for Heaven...God wants them for the
gentleness they provide. Your beautiful blossoms are being adored &
cherished right now. They are sitting at the feet of God whom they have
been taught about & now they can see Him face to face. They don't have
to wonder what He looks like any longer. Just remember, these 3 wonderful,
joyful, playful, beautiful creations are where we WANT to be, & who
better to beat us there than them. The ones we work so hard to give the
best too. They have it now. We are praying for all 3 of your families that
the pain will subside rapidly as you remember the wonderful years you had.

I ask myself 'what purpose did this serve Lord, to take 3 young
lives?' I am unable as a human to understand the reason or logic behind
it. Can you just imagine how God must feel, sad for your grief, but joyous
to have his children back with him again in this place we call heaven?
We are never ready to relinquish our most prized possesion, our children,
back to God. But then, God loaned those precious babies to you to love
and nurture while they were here. The AGONY that you now know, in the base
of your soul where you cry out in pain, is also being touched by all the
gentle love and prayers along with good intentions to you and your families
through others words of comfort, touch, and heartfelt condolences. Rest
in the love of others right now. Surely our God of love knows what he's
doing, even if we don't. Faith, the most difficult thing to grasp in times
like this, but that's all there is left. So, I have faith that your beautiful
children are sitting in a circle holding hands, their sweet faces tilted
toward God in radiant awe and wonderment while the angels read their favorite
story books to them. That is the vision I have and want to focus on, not
the bus & train collision. I also pray for the bus driver who will
have to live the rest of her days with that memory. My prayers, and the
prayers of the parishioners at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in
Ft.Payne AL are with you and your families. Sincerely, Diane Dixson

As the father of two and a funeral director by trade, death is all
too common to me..each time I hear of a tragedy such as yours, I can't
wait to get home to "hug" my children and thank God for their safety. Along
with my family, we have bound together and prayed for a comfort to stengthen
you during this time...the old saying "time heals all wounds" is a little
over-used at times, but believe me, it it the truth! God will take you

have to trust and believe in him. As you face the next few days, weeks,

My husband and I do not have children and would give our right arms
for one. We can not even imagine your feelings at this time of loss. Just
know that your children are in a much better place and are whole again.
Soon you will be able to remember the "happy times" and not the bad ones.
It does take time...talk to them often for they (I feel) can hear our prayers
to them. Our prayers are with your families. Enjoy each precious moment
with your other family members because who, but God knows what is to come!!!

My heart goes out to everyone involved in this terrible accident.
You are all in my prayers. There are no words to express what I would like
to communicate to you. Just know that these precious children are with
Jesus now. Let the Lord comfort & strengthen you in the days to come.
Remember that God's own Son died before His very eyes, so that you can
be assured that He knows what you are going through right now. Rest in
His love. I will do everything in my power to see that this type of thing
doesn't happen again. I'm just so very sorry that it DID happen this time.

I wish there was something I could say to take away your pain. I
lost my mother in a car accident when I was young and I know how devestating
this sudden loss is. As hard as it was to loose my mother, I believe that
the loss of a child is incomparable. Please know that all of us are praying
for the children to have peace and everlasting life with God, and for the
families that you may find comfort in your faith and the fellowship of
those around you.

"In The Garden Of Gethsemane" Before the dawn of Easter..... There
came Gethsemane...... Before the resurrection... There were hours of agony...
For there can be no crown of stars... Without a cross to bear... And there
is no salvation... Without Faith and Love and Prayer,....... And when we
take our needs to God Let us pray as did HIS Son That dark night in Gethsemane----
"Thy Will, Not Mine, Be Done" ...........Another HSR May God be with you,
embrace you and yours during these most difficult times. KEEP THE FAITH.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to all the families
involved in this tremendous tragedy. We on the outside don't even begin
to know how your hearts are so broken and greiving for your loss. It should
make each and every one of us realize how precious our lives are, and how
we should tell our loved ones just how much we love them in our hearts.
We need to hold closely to our hearts each and every one that we love so
dearly and let them know how we feel about each other. Parents, hug your
children and tell them you luv them so much. Children, hug your parents
and tell them thank you for all they have done and how much you love them
for that. Each and every family needs to cherish what precious little time
we have together on this earth. My Deepest Heart Felt Thoughts and Prayers
are with Everyone Involved in this Tragedy.

you awaken in mornings hush,I am the swift up lifting rush,of quiet birds
in circle flight,I am the soft stars that shine at night.Dont stand at
my grave and cry For I am not there.I did not die...GOD BLESS ,I LOVE YOU

children as a mother of two, I sometimes get aggravated and discouraged
with their behaviors and some of the things we encounter daily, however,
this terrible tragic event has made me think of the good things and remind

children in my thoughts and prayers daily.I also have the thought of all
the emergeny personel, volunteers and the people who wittnessed this event
I know it will remain in your thoughts from day to day. I know that these
children are sitting in the lap of Jesus as he holds them tight and they
laugh and play as they always have, just in a happier and more peaceful
place.May God bless each and every one of you.....

The Lord is faithful... and He is all-knowing. Give thanks to him
even in this huge trial. As Rick Joyner said.. Every trial has a purpose,
to conform you to the image of Christ, which is the fruit of the spirit,
which when matured makes room for the gifts of the spirit. Give thanks
to the Only One who is faithful and true, even in this time of confusion,
and the Lord will see your faith. It's only a short time until you're reunited
again, I promise. :)

A poem by Helen Steiner Rice. May You Find Peace...And Comfort....Children
are precious gifts from God, and when we lose them in such a tragic way,
there are no words to express sorrow. "LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED"
Whenever I am troubled And lost in deep despair I bundle all my troubles
up And go to God in prayer... I tell him I am heartsick And lost and lonely,
too, That my mind is deeply burdened And I don't know what to do... But
I know He stilled the tempest And calmed the angry sea And I humbly ask
if in His love He'll do the same for me... And then I just keep quiet And
think only thoughts of peace And if I abide in stillness My "restless murmurings"
cease. May you hold tight your faith....Peace and Prayers!!

And pray that some of your grief and pain if just a fraction of it is lifted
from all the prayer offered and recieved from our caring community and

angels are in heaven now, in a better place, where they will never know
pain again, and will always be happy. They are watching over you, and need

I have cried each day, as I am now. My oldest son died and it was
the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with. I have dreamed about the
bus wreck the last two nights and I know it will be there tonight. I can
never express to you how I hurt for you and your families as you can never
express the pain you're in now to anyone. I beg God every day to protect
the children and I know He has a good purpose but it is so hard to see.
I really wish I could tell you what it was but even if I could I know it
wouldn't make it any easier. I am so sorry for your loss and I wish so
bad that I could take your pain away. I know that God has the children
with Him now and that they are out of any pain. I hope that consoles your
families but I also know that you will never stop missing them. I pray
that this will help other parents to appreciate their children. My family

were on that bus. My sympathy is with you. It is a sad day. I lost a child
through miscarriage on March 28, 1990. Now each year, I will pray for you

it. At first we can't see it for the pain. But remember that "God loves

As a mother of three precious kids, a 6 year old, a 5 year old ,
and a 6 month old I have to say that what you and your families are going
through has to be one of the worst things possible. I want you to know
that my family and I are praying for each and every one who was involved
in the accident, from the beautiful children, to the rescue team. May God
and his Angels be with you and know that your children are in a safe and
happy place. God Bless!!!

WE ARE SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. THERE ARE NO WORDS TO TAKE AWAY YOUR
PAIN THAT YOU HAVE AT THIS MOMENT. MY BROTHER WAS IN A TRAIN ACCIDENT ONE
TIME. IT DIDN'T TAKE HIS LIFE, BUT IT COULD HAVE. THE CHILDREN WILL BE
TAKEN CARE OF NOW. YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE THEM IN YOUR HEARTS AND MEMORIES.
IT'S SO SAD TO SEE SOMEONE SO YOUNG TAKEN AWAY SO SUDDENLY. THEY WILL ALWAYS
BE THERE WHEN YOU NEED TO TALK TO THEM, JUST LOOK UP IN THE SKY. MAY GOD
BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU.

Even though I'm 0nly 13 years old I feel your pain, because every
time I turn on the tv I hear about this terrible tragedy and it breaks
my heart because these kids didn't get to live to see their 13th birthday.
I don't blame anyone for this accident I just wish these kids could live
to see how fun life can be. They were only here for a short time, but I
know they were loved dearly.

I can not tell you that I know how you feel because I don't. I can
however let you all know that my prayers and thoughts are with you. I just
recently found out that I'm having a child and I can not begin to imagine
the pain behind losing one. I pray that God wrap His loving arms around
you and your families.Just remember that there are 3 more beautiful angels
in Heaven. Keep you head up and continue to share their spirit with others.
May God bless you in the days to come.

my child had been on that bus. My family and I pray for everyone involved.
