"Two Little Angels gone to Heaven way too soon..."
January
29, 2001
Dear
family and friends:
Words
can never express my gratitude towards all of you during this time in my life.
I am so overwhelmed and blessed with your love, unselfish giving, and
support.
What
can I say, my little Charles was and will always be an angel.
He touched so many lives in ways I never imagined any human being could
in this day and age. He was very charismatic and loved by all.
What's more, Charles was very innocent yet, as those of you who knew him,
mature beyond his ten years.
Charles
had, among many other things, a gift for talking. He was a child with high aspirations and took on all life
challenges with determination. In
addition, he set very realistic goals for himself and always had a captivated
and mature audience as he spoke passionately about his future.
Charles
loved the simple things in life and never took anything for granted.
He and I shared a very special relationship with God.
I guess this is why I find such comfort in knowing he is enjoying every
second of his “new” life in a “land” I refer to as a Heavenly Utopia.
I
envy this place Charles has transitioned, for he no longer experiences pain,
racism, poverty, injustice, sorrow, hunger, frustration, feeling unloved, peer
pressure, illness nor any of the other social constraints of society we are all
bound by. What a wonderful way to
spend eternal life- free!
On
behalf of Charles, in his physical absence, allow me to thank you for helping
his mother get through this difficult time.
I love and miss Charles so very much!!
His charismatic smile, high spirit, kindness and love for life will
forever exist in me. In addition, please keep the Williams, Wilborn and Davis
(little Andre) families in your prayers.
Sincerely,
Thelma
J. Williams

I did not know your son but the story in the Patriot Ledger made me reflect back to losses by fire in my family. My heart goes out to you (his Mother) and family. I truly believe it must be the worst kind of tragedy to deal with and there is no words to describe how sad I am for you. There is no right time for anything like this to happen to anyone. His face in the Ledger radiated energy and sweetness that was taking away too soon. WE can only realize that God had a special place for him and spared him from perhaps something in the future. Hard to understand why but that is one of the only ways to cope at such an empty time in your life. Stay strong and believe! His big smile will be a lasting impression for everyone and in some strange way will no doubt make others that knew him stronger!

My daughter was a classmate of Charles' for the last 2 yrs. at Union St. School. She just thought Charles was the funniest kid! She came home so many days and made us laugh with one of his stories.I felt like I knew him before I ever met him. I finally had the pleasure of meeting him at one of the school activities and he really was a kid you could never forget! What a personality!! What a beautiful child! You just couldn't help but adore him! My heart goes out to you. He will be missed by so many. With my deepest sympathy, Donna Finamore

My Heart goes out to your family. The picture of Charles on the front page of the Quincy Ledger, brought tears to my eyes. I did not know this handsome child with that GREAT BIG smile, but he touched me! Both families have such a huge loss to bear...the ONLY comfort, is in knowing that they share God's heaven with Him, He holds them in His arms now. God Bless all of you, ma He ease your pain. Sincerly, Carol Mott
