It's been years since I heard from Brian or Andrea and just found out about Brian's passing today. I was completely in shock. Brian was always a good boy and I wish I would've known him as an adult. Many a days Brian, Andrea, myself, and Michelle spent hanging out at the Narrows. I will treasure those memories. I am so sorry for your loss even if it is late. I'm also sorry to hear that Augie passed as well. Your family was always good to me every summer.

I grew up with Brian, he is one of my fondest memories from elementary school. A truly sweet person, it is a real loss for this world to be without him. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Please belatedly accept my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Brian. I can see from reading his condolence page that he had many good friends who still miss him a lot. I have a son Brian's age and can only imagine the sense of loss you must feel. I too have been touched by the death of several good friends. My best friend died in a car crash some years ago and a few years after that my second best friend died in a canoeing accident. I would like to share some points of comfort that strengthened me when these terrible things happened in my life. The death of a loved one can prompt us to ask many questions. Why do people die? Where are the dead? And how can we be sure we will ever see them again? Satisfying answers can be found in God's Word, the Bible. You may be skeptical of the Bible, I was too. But when I saw what it really said, not what I was told it said, I couldn't help but look further into it. For example, the Bible makes the promise: “Your dead ones will live. . . . They will rise up.” And the Bible also says: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”—Isaiah 26:19; Psalm 37:29. Imagine the opportunity to live forever on earth with those who have been taken from us in death! Not an earth full of suffering and problems like we have now, but a Paradise where we can really enjoy life. Almighty God has not only the power but also the desire to resurrect persons whom he chooses. Jesus Christ himself said: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”—John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15. The Bible says of the Almighty: “He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him.”—Luke 20:37, 38. I'm convinced that I'll see Brian very soon when God's promise of a resurrection becomes a reality. I'd like for you too to be as sure as I am. Although you may not have much confidence in the resurrection promise at this time, I invite you to e-mail me if you would like to discuss further God's wonderful resurrection hope. In any event, please accept again my condolences.

Angela- I am sorry about your loss. Everybody who knew him will never forget his smile and his love for life (and hunting) There is nothing I can do to help the pain that you and Brian's family are going through. I deal with it best by living my life to the fullest and always knowing that he is looking down on everybody he cared about. He was a special guy and I will never forget about.I will be coming by to check on you and Gary soon. Allison Jacobszoon

Nancy and I have been there and know what you are going through. Please remember that you are in our thoughts and prayers and we are always available to help or talk if needed.
