Dearest Crystal, yours and Eds was a true love story, one not often seen today. Although your heart will never completely mend, you will someday feel so lucky to have been blessed with such a true love. I know I will never feel the pain you do, but please know that I am here for you and my heart hurts to see you in such pain. I love you and will keep you in my prayers.

To Ed's family and the entire City of Riverside Fire Department, I had the oportunity to work with Ed at Station 5 many years ago while I was assigned there as Goodhew Paramedic, he always had a way of making the best out of a tough situation and always had a smile for you. He will be missed but I know he will be watching out for the rest of us. Godspeed Brother Teran

Dear Teran Family, I'm a cadet in a local fire academy and attended the services for firefighter Teran. Although I did not know him, from everything I have heard and seen of him it is an inspiration to continue my goals and ambitions to become a future fireman and have the same dedication and ethics as firefighter Teran. My condolences and prayers are with you. God bless. John Marini

To the Teran Family, I'm not part of the Firefighters Family. But, everyday I appreciate that they risk their lives everyday for us. I attended the ceremory this morning at Olivewood Cemetary. I was so overwhelmed by all of the Fire trucks, Honor Guard, Bag Pipes that led the procession and most of all the attendes to show their respect by the Brothers and Sisters and others. I was honored to be there to pay my repects. My husband is a retired Deputy Sheriff and DA's Office here in Riverside, but I was one of the lucky ones. May God Bless The Teran Family and all the Brothers and Sisters who put their lives on the line everyday. With Sincere Condolences, Bill and Mary Frogue

I had the priviledge of working with Ed for a short time with Riverside City Fire. Even though brief, I remember him as one of the friendliest and easy-going guys you could know. It was truly a blessing and pleasure to have known and worked with him. The fire service has lost a true hero! We have lost a great brother. My condolences go out to your family. "Thanks Ed, I'll never forget you."

We would like to extend our sincere sympathy to each member of Ed's family, especially his wife and daughter. As parents of a firefighter who also puts his life on the line each time he rolls on a call, we appreciate all that each and every firefighter does for his or her community. We know that life will never be the same without Ed, but we wanted you to know that what he did for his community will not be forgotten, just as he won't. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Ed, While I never had the privledge of meeting you, I wanted to share something with you and your family. Today I stopped by the City's Downtown Station for a cup of coffee and to see all of by buddies that I had not seen in a while. Without words, you can feel how badly you are missed. It was an honor to hear the crew symbolize all of the great thoughts and memories that were shared over the years. While I was at the station, I had the opputunity to read every one of the comments that were written on the sides of Engine 8 by your fellow crew members and supervisors. It is very clear that you are a Legend in the minds of many. The crew discussed the sticker that will be worn on all of their helmets that represents Ed Teran, as I learned today, it will be worn with pride. We all will miss all that you gave the Fire Service, Thank You.
