Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your son, Kurtis. On June 21, 1997, my wife and I also suffered the loss of our grand-son, age 2, whom we were raising. Although the grief is much to bear, help can be found through your faith, and the support of family & friends. Many feelings can come over you in a time like this and it is important to recognize and understand those feelings. Always remember that no matter what, Kurtis came into this world for a reason and having spent the little time that you did with him changed your life for the better. Never let his memory fade and always keep it alive by speaking of him and the memories you share. There is also an excellent organization called the Compassionate Friends, website http://www.compassionatefriends.org. They can be an excellent resource during your time of need. God bless you & your family during this trying time. Sincerely, Dan & Arlyn Torres

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. ’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed! Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures. Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace. The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine; But God, Who called me here below, Will be forever mine. When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we’d first begun.

I too lost my son this year but I had 21 years with him I can't imagine losing a child so young but I do know now God doesn't give us more than we can handle. But always be there for each other and you will make it through and remember we will be with them again one glorious day. And don't forget to pray and ask god to help you and he will. May God Bless yall.

Kevin & Christine, We don't know you well, but from what I know, and what I hear from your close friends, you are good people who hold the lord in high regard. People like you are hard to find in this new age of "I", "me", "mine", so we wanted to say thank you for your son Kurtis. You see we view him as our ambassador from here to heaven; And even heaven must be a better place with Kurtis in it.

I know the loss of a child can leave you numb, angry and feeling hopeless. It is important you give and recieve strength from family and friends, don't go it alone, and don't seclude yourselves. Let God give you strength and love. The Krauss family will always be in my prayers. God bless.

My heart can't speak enough of your blessed son Kurtis. Kevin, Christine, I will like to encourage you everyday and in my prayers over this situation. I can say that I have been through this also. Its very hard , but after many friends along side, the CDF family, and time -16 years- and my faith in Jesus Christ, and also in the unknown I'm still here. I never proclaim to have answers, we sometimes never will. Kevin, feel free to call as we do have this in common. Christine, stay close to Kevin and allways talk and God will get you through this. I would like to leave you with this peom given to me in a condolence card from a fellow CDF person when, during our loss it comforted me, it became a poem I dedicated to our Brianna-Rae in 1990. Id like to pass it to your family as a remembrance " A butterfly lights beside us. like a sunbeam. And for a brief moment itss glory and beauty belong to this world. But then it flies on again and though we wish it could have stayed, We feel so lucky to have seen it" Isaiah 40:11 He shall gather the lambs in His arm, and carry them in His bosom". God bless you and keep you, Jon Hedman

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the Krauss family in this great time of loss to us all. Babies are a blessing from God and when He calls them home this early it is hard for us to understand why. I believe that it is not for us to understand why or to question Gods reasoning on things. But it is for us to undersatnd that the child now sits with God in a better place. Fortunately the baby was still unblemished and spotted by this world we live in. The pure innocence of the childs spirit guranteed his ticket into heaven. He now resides in a better place, a heavenly place, along with my Mom, nephew, grandmas and grandpas and so many other loved ones that we all have lost. But this loss is only temporary. For we all should be looking forward to that day that we will have a grand reunion in heaven with all of our lost loved ones. I will continue to keep you in my prayers that God may comfort and strengthen you through these difficult times and for strength to carry on in the future. I send my sincere condolences.
