suddenly at his home in Tehachapi. He
is survived by his wife Gina, children Brittany, Khyla, Dominique, Jeffrey, and

Eva, a 4 1/2 year veteran firefighter with the California Department of Forestry
and Fire Protection and member of CDF Fire's
Copter 404 based in Columbia, was
killed in in the "Line of Duty" on 9/12/04. Eva was fighting a fire in the
Stanislaus National
Forest in the
Tuolumne River Canyon area. Eva is the first female CDF Firefighter to lose her
life in the "Line of Duty".
