I just received the weekly publication of the Trinity Journal. I
can't remember such an out-pouring of heart-felt sorrow and recognition
such as Karen Savage has received and I just want to say thank you to all
the firefighters battling the firestorms in the North State. I grew up
in Trinity Co., and my mother still lives there. She works for the USFS
on Ironside lookout and in the field in Denny, CA where the local fires
have been threatening the residential area in Denny. I just want to say
to Karen Savages husband, children and family... even though I don't know
you, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Peace be with you. Sincerely,

To all of the family of Karen Savage, I write this with a tear in
my eye. We grew up together in Ohio and went our different ways but there
is a part of me that will always remember the times we had. Only God can
see the future and what will come to pass, but we can look forward to the
day we will meet again on Heavens shore. To all the family Monoka and I

Willow Creek area and that she was always a loving mother to her children.
She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She is now in a better

save the homes of many people that will forever be gratefull to her and
the life that she gave. My heart goes to the ones that are left behind

My sympathy goes out to the Savage family for their loss. I started
my career a long time ago in the forestry, then moved to Law Enforcement
and have been there ever since. It is never easy nor are there ever enough
words to express our heart felt emotions about someones loss. When I heard
about the accident, my first thought was "there goes another one of us"
and thought of others who have lost their lives helping the community.
Savage family, there are no words to ease your feeling of loss, but rest
assured that there are plenty of us who share your grief. God Bless, sincerely,

For Karen's family ~ For the Lord himself will come down from heaven
with a loud shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet
call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who
are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the
clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
Therefore encourage each other with these words. I Thessalonians 4:16-18

My husband and I would like to express our deepest sorrow to the
Savage family at this terrible and tragic time. My husband is a volunteer
firefighter in Bella Vista and, like Karen, saw the devastation of the
Jones fire. Karen was truly "one of the few", volunteer firefighters, who
give of themselves so selflessly and freely without any thought to their
own lives. Karen will be truly missed in our community and should be considered
a hero. Our hearts go out to you and may God bless you and keep you. Rest
in peace, dear Karen.
